This majestic cortijo was built in 1982 but the original building dates back to 1975. The property was extended and became a private residence in 1987 and in 2012 was totally renovated and upgraded to create the finest boutique hotel and wedding venue in the area.

As you enter the double electric gates the drive leads you up to the beautiful, romantic Spanish style cortijo where the ambience is so calm and peaceful.  The large, old wooden doors open into a lovely courtyard surrounded by fantastic views and secret gardens that embrace the property. Not only is the cortijo so carefully designed with love and detail, but also the gardens are designed from different parts of the world as well as the interior of the property.

The main house comprises a large lounge and separate dining hall, both with impressive vaulted ceilings decorated in typical Andalucian style with Moorish influences and even a Jewish quarter. These rooms take up 2 sides of the internal courtyard with fountain, used for breakfast and dinner in the summer months.

As you enter the cortijo there is a lovely hall way and a Moroccan style courtyard. Down the hall way to the left is an en-suite bedroom, large spacious kitchen and a beautiful dining room with a high vaulted ceiling, with access to the courtyard. Then you have the sitting room with a high ceiling, with comfortable sofas and a fire place for relaxing in the winter evenings, or in summer you can step out onto the terrace that faces out to the garden and mountains on the horizon. Leading off this is a hallway to another 3 spacious comfortable en-suite bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, air conditioning units and large windows or doors, letting in plenty of light.

But the showpiece of the property is undoubtedly the walled Alhambra Garden, designed as homage to this World Heritage Site in Granada with central waterway and thousands of hand painted tiles, flowers and sunbeds to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. This fantastic garden area is a romantic setting for weddings or special meal, with the lighting at night making it just perfect. In the summer evenings this transfers into a stunning Al fresco eating venue for dining and events.

The pool area has an individually designed eco-friendly salt water pool with luxury sunbeds with towels and parasols. The electro charged water refreshes and tones your skin and body but there’s also a magnificent 12 person Jacuzzi, plus “Los Sierras” poolside honesty bar, ideal for relaxing with a backdrop of magnificent scenery offering fresh air and tranquillity. There is also a giant games area.

The property is set in 30,182 m2 and is surrounded by mountains sitting within its own established 5 acre olive grove. 

The surrounding countryside is a mecca for rural tourism - cycling, either on or off road, walking and bird watching on the doorstep and several horse riding establishments within a short drive. Villanueva del Rosario boasts an infamous rock climbing face with local guides available.
