The estate of El Palacio is located in the region of La Serena of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The area, considered one of the most environmentally preserved places in Spain, has been declared by the European Union as a Special Protection Area for Birds. The estate covers 1,242 ha and includes olive grove forests and hunting land.

The Palace covers a total area of 1,242 hectares made up of 622 ha of pasture & dry land, 65 ha arable land, 20 ha of irrigated olive grove, 25 ha of rain fed olive grove, 30 ha of forest & agricultural land and 480 ha of low mountain game hunting.

The farm is perfectly equipped with the necessary constructions and facilities for an efficient and rational use of natural resources. These elements include the following: • 1,500 m2 of warehouse for livestock • 500 m2 of buildings for various uses: haylofts, barns, machinery warehouse, etc.

The finca has 10 kilometers of perimeter fence that encloses the entire hunting area, made in a mesh of 200x30x15 centimeters. • 25 fenced quarters with livestock netting that suppose a total length of 35 kilometers. • 10 ponds / troughs for cattle and game species. • 2 wells for irrigation of the olive grove with total flow of 7 liters / sg. • 1,500 m2 of warehouses for sheep • 500 m2 of warehouses for several uses: haylofts, barns, machinery, etc. • 4 boxes for sport horses, including riding stables

The palace house, which gives its name to the estate, is a construction of the end of the 19th century and consists of two identical wings of two floors each with a total area of 800 m2.  There are three houses for employees, a 15 x 8 meter swimming pool and garden.

The sheep farming is currently the main base of the farm and has a herd of 2,270 purebred merino sheep, inscribed in the Genealogical Book of the breed. Its main exploitation is the meat, although given the quality of the herd, also live commercials are sold for replenishment of other herds.

The good quality of the vegetation of its forests, consisting essentially of acebuche (wild olive), oak and cork oak, together with the control of the population of cervids, has allowed El Palacio to have been maintained over the years as one of the best game farms in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, corroborated by the quality of its trophies.

The most characteristic species are deer, wild boar and small game (hare, partridge and rabbit). They are also traditional in this region the organized hunting days taking advantage of the passage of the migratory birds like the thrush and the dove.
